I feel guilty.....

Options
I have to confess...I've bought a new pair of shoes and a skirt today! £28, but my only saving grace is that I have lots finishing on ebay tomorrow which will get me at least £40, and hopefully more as I have lots of watchers. It was all just going to my bank account to try and lower my overdraft this month, but it'll now be £28 less than it could have been.
But I desperately needed the shoes,( people were starting to comment on my smelly feet!) I have no excuse for the skirt!
Somebody please smack my wrist and I will consider myself told off....

Hi Minty. Don't feel guilty. Just think about how much you would have spent before and wouldn't have given it two thoughts!

I bought some sandals too the other day and admit that I felt really guilty. They cost £12 but I kept thinking 'that's a third of the weekly shopping budget'. Everything comes down to the 'budget' now or a CC payment ... but that's not a bad thing.

Enjoy wearing the new things and remember that the things you have sold on e-bay were probably just sitting in your home gathering dust. In a way it's recycling!!

Providing you don't wear them just the once and then leave them in the back of the wardrobe ;) I think £28 is very good going for shoes and a skirt.

I'm desparate for new shoes for work - been wearing this pair for 2 years! Even when my mates indoor rabbit left teeth marks down the front, I managed to patch them up!!!! They're so comfy though...I hate buying shoes. Am I the only female like this?!

  • Oh no, I love buying shoes! Trouble is OH has a rule that for every new pair of shoes that come into our house one has to go out!
I'll just have to be very good for the rest of the month....

Not only is the "Thanks" button missing but we need a "Slapped" button and a "Smack on the Wrist" or a "Tut Tut" button. :D

  • Enjoy wearing your skirt and shoes. The pleasure you get will make you feel better toward the debt.

  • Ali-Ok, I am with you on that one. I hate buying shoes also, would rather wear the same pair for years.

Mintymoneysaver, I am not going to slap your wrist either, sometimes you need a treat. And you are doing so well getting your debt down. By the way I love the way you have shown your debt going down in your signature.
