Are you talking about tax paid in Italy or tax paid in the UK?0

tax paid in italy0

If the Italians work anything like the UK then I think you need to contact the Italian Revenue Service directly.
I found this on the UK Foreign Office site -
http://ukinitaly.fco.gov.uk/en/help-for-british-nationals/living-in-italy/how-does-it-tax-system-work
Foreigners living and working in the UK just contact HMRC to claim any tax back.0 -
Try an accountant in Italy.0

Are you talking about the teachers article in the UK/Italy treaty?
Have you broken UK residence under UK domestic rules?0 -
it is yes. it wasn't that any rules had been broken, just that my school wasn't aware of it and neither was i until new teachers arrived to the school0

Very interesting reading. I found this on the HMRC site - http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/international/italy-dtc.pdf
Teachers are referred in article 20. That doesn't help with reclaiming the tax in Italy sorry but at least you can see the wording of the treaty.
Article 4 refers to domicile and residence.0
