after not getting my payments for 2 months despit edoe being in place, the csa have today told me 'they forgot' to send the deo out to the employer in June. For 7 weeks they have been telling me the debt team are dealing with it and I will get the money.... i am laughing if i dont i will cry!
What on earth happens now? i cant get them to commit to the next step in the process. I know i should not depend on thsi money but i am on 1/2 pay atm so ever penny counts... I have looked at my phone bills and clocked up i have spent £54 since may on the phone to these jokers (not mentioning all the recorded deliveries i have paid for when i follow up conversations with letters!)
I have been told to go via the complaints process and i may be offered compensation, but is it really worth it?

the complaints process will take a long time to reach a conclusion
any compensation may just about cover the costs you have incurred so far but it depends on whether they will admit to making mistakes - I got a minimal amount, which does not touch the costs I have incurred since I submitted my complaint (not yet concluded) in May 2008 - make sure you record all contact with the CSA staff especially sarcasm, rudeness, incorrect information, conflicting information, failure to return calls etc etc etc
Does your MP have monthly surgeries? they're usually advertised in your local paper or on the council's website
Good luck0 -
BLOOOOOOOOODY ELL :rotfl: though i'm not surprised at all, whats more amazing is anyone actually gets a payment :rotfl: you should try to see if the CSA have to re-imburse you for all the phone calls you had to make. what was it 54 quid. Fifty quids fifty quid, if they argue about it tell them you'll need that money the next time you have to make fifty quids worth of phone calls to them:eek: better yet, take a copy of it and send it to them in the post:D RECORDED DELIVERY. Is there any way you can reverse the charges when you call them:rotfl:
Back to serious, You have all my bloomin sympathies you really do, dont let them get away with it.0 -
If you have a land line that gives you free calls or inclusive minutes on a mobile phone I would look up your local CSA offices number on https://www.saynoto0870.com.
I never call the 0845 number it's really expensive as you know.
Hope this helps a bit!0 -

You don't have to. Just ask them to call you back as soon as you get through and before you have given them any info.0 -
Thanks guys! I have tried the no to 0870 thing but my case is up and down the uk more times than the national express glasgow to london coach...
The CSA called this morning.. apparantly i will get 'some' of the £800 arrears that is owed by the end of next week.
hum... i hope so my son is going in a trip with school for a week in october and that has cost me over £200 so i was kinda banking on the rest to pay for food, clothes, spends etc... and i havent been able to put anything in his savings for 6 weeks due to paying for the trip so hopefully his bank account will get a nice deposit too when its all sorted!
I feel sorry for the NRP here too, as he now has more arrears he has to pay, but then again i hope he made provision for this as he should be aware that nothing has been deducted when it should have been... i never thought i would ever feel sorry for him as we havent had a penny since we split 8 years ago but i think i do have sympathy for him as he is the one whos wages are being taken over by the csa...
thanks again...not that i am holding my breath i will actually get it
As for MP surgery.. i am onto that now, although his website doesnt mention any atm0
