Mortgage with 1 late payment

Our house sale/purcase has fallen through. We had a full mortgage offer with Abbey. After they had done their checks, and whilst we were on holiday, my partner forgot to pay her CC bill. She did so as soon as we got back. This is the only bad mark on either of our credit files, is it going to affect our chances of getting a mortgage again?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

You should be ok with a late payment to a CC
However, you wuld still need to see if Abbey are still the best options for you on your new purchase.
You should be ok though, as it may not show up yet on your credit fileI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. That will rule ot the strict lenders like Nationwide then.
Hopefully, Abbey will still be OK though.........unless they are looking for excuses not to lend ( as some lenders sem to be)I am a Mortgage adviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hi,
Same thing happened with OH...2 late cc payments on different occasions, think he must have had a memory lapse when we were going on holiday! Both showed up on experian but we still got a mortgage with Abbey back in March.0 -

Thanks for the replies all.
sarah77 - did you apply after the late cc payments would have shown on your file?0 -
I have just been accepted for an Abbey mortgage *after* late cc payments showed on my file. In fact, at the time of applying, my cc account showed as in arrears when actually it was paid off.
I also applied with HSBC and they declined me for nonsense reasons, but they never mentioned anything about the cc arrears.0 -

Yes, they were from 2008. We told our mortgage broker about them right from the start, think thats one of the reasons our broker reccommended Abbey for us.0
