Basically i used to have a bad credit rating, defaults coupkle of ccjs so on. I have totally cleared it up and my experian is looking not bad at all. I am or will be after a mortgage as u will see from my other threads.
My experian shows no defaults or ccjs. 2 credit cards one with 200 on and one empty. But 6 late payments this year. My question is should i get a mortgage now with say beacon or if i wait a year with everything paid on time would a high street lender accept me??

Your credit history will ring alarm bells to lenders.
Even if a lender was to offer a mortgage, you'd be paying over the odds on the interest rate.
If you have had situations that made payments late without owning a house, let me assure you that when you do own a house there will be more unexpected bills that get in the way of meeting your usual obligations.
Prove yourself for a year. If for no other reason than you might get a better rate from a high street lender, saving money for 25 years - which is very MSE...!0 -
I recently sold my property never missed a payment, i think i will wait a year if its worth it then try my bank.0
