My post office in town has gone bonkers! They've done this new ticket system, but they still have a little postage counter where you can do little stuff, normal postage, lottery etc. I went in, no one around the counter and I had two items and the lady said I had to go and get a ticket cos I had more than 1 item!!! I just had to turn around and go cos I was going to give her a torrent of abuse for being so stupid. THere was absolutely no one waiting or anywhere near the counter.:mad::mad:

Anyway, ended up just posting one item so profit for that £1.88. I was fuming so didn't realise that I could've just walked out after that, then come back in. She couldn't've refused to serve me again as I'd have left the shop.

  • Thanks everyone for your comments, it has made me feel much better about my sales.

Tirlittan and Sweetpeas I have never used the free ads, what sort of things should I sell via those? I do have a cooker in my dining room I need to sell - the fact that I've just bought a massive sideboard off ebay that won't fit on the wall unless I get rid of it should be the final incentive! Would that be a good candidate for freeads?

debtbegone - you're right I don't have that sort of stuff lying around, but thanks anyway for your comments.

Batgirl I feel your pain too!

Anyway, £2.03 to declare - .3p from interest:rotfl:, £1 from lightspeed and £1 as a 'sourcing fee' for picking up four vintage curtains for a crafty friend to make things. It was a fab 1970s material, got all four for £3 and they're really big too! Really didn't want to take any extra as it is a really good mate, but she insisted! Maybe she felt sorry for me too after the Coast dress incident:rolleyes:!

Also, didn't realise it was free to list for 99p anyway :o so was using free listing days to list for 99p! Now I know I can set a higher minimum on better items.

£4 from ebay sales from me.

(Just had a phone call to say I cam runner-up in a competition to win a £2k holiday. Pity that I had to PAY for that runner-up price so I declined. )

hiya mw, I wud put the cooker in the free ads yeh. The one I use is in our free local paper. I never put the house phone number in the ads cos u never
know, I put my mobile in.
I put all sorts in there- bundles of kids clothes, ps games, toys etc. The only thing they ask is that it's not over £50 asking price and it's not copied DVDs etc.
    Worth a bash! :D

    xx
