OMGoodness I am so pleased this thread is on. We are no longer in debt and haven't been now for nearly 20 months mainly thanks to this thread  and since then we have acheived so much as learning to make and save money is fantastic as when you are debt free you have al these extra pennies free for for things!!!!!

We have just had a phonecall from a friend who has asked us to go on holiday with them and a group of friends at the cost of £1500 we also need £800 for our bathroom to be redone so a total of £1300 in the next three months. We can save this amount of money but we are going to have to go back to our very thrifty ways and money making ways so I am so pleased this thread is here to get me back in gear!!! So thanks everyone who has kept it going and I look forward to all your inspiring ideas ( wished I had done the car boot sale I planned for this morning now :o)

Ditto purple - if it wasn't for Batgirl I don't think I would have the savings I have now; almost enough for my house deposit :j:T

I must admit I do love this challenge and even though I stopped doing it officially about a 11 months ago? I still carried on for months afterwards doing it by myself just out of habit its only been the past maybe 5months I have gone a bt off the rails as we have had more egular income I have relaxed a bit which has actually one me ( and my family ) the world of good to chill and just have fun without constant money stressing but at some point you need to get back into gear and thats NOW !!!! :D
