Piggy Banks

Hi everyone, just thought I'd share this with you all. The OH and I have just moved to a new flat and whilst we were unpacking, came across 3 "piggy banks" so we decided to empty them out and get it all counted. Now bearing in mind there were only 1ps, 2ps and 5ps in them, we had a grand total of £72.89!!!
We are well chuffed, we were kind of expecting enough for a take-out to celebrate the move, but never expected that much, might even be able to stretch to a couple of bottles of wine as well
So come on everyone, check any copper jars you have laying about around the house and see how much extra cash you have to treat yourself/get yourself out of a hole...

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Great tip! I recently cashed in my coin jar contents (1ps, 2ps, 5ps, 10ps, 20ps and even a couple of 50ps) and it came up to just over £65!0

I put my change in a jar and yearly exchange it, last year (Sept) we had 154 pound to help with the move, this year I'm leaving it longer for Christmas food shop, I counted it a few months back and there was 80 in already.0
