Mark,
I sent you an email yesterday and am yet to hear from you. Burp hasn't been on MSE so I can't ask her whether you've sent out the draft yet.I'm still happy to help if you like.

Just thought I would tell you that I made the Pork Stroganoff today and it was amazing!
The only thing I had to buy was the yoghurt, everything else was already in my store cupboard/fridge!
Thanks for the link - great ideas and perfect for us trying to cut back.

Thanks for the link to Part 1. Should be very useful.
Another useful resource that i found recently on saving money on food was by Squawkfox "The Insider's Guide to Frugal Food and Fitness". It also has a healthy bent to it as well as covering being frugal.
Sorry, as i am a newbie i am not able to post the link to the Insider's Guide. Just go to Squawkfox dot com and you will see it on their home page.0 -

some of you may remember my first post about an article in my local paper about a local guy trying to encourage people to spend less on their food bill and has taken the time to write a free guide for people offering ideas and recipes ... the thread had lots of positive response by the looks of it  always nice to see fellow OS's supporting people with positive comments so thank you :T
Just to let you know that part 2 will be available to download (free) from the weekend hopefully
You can download it from here

and for those of you who haven't seen part 1 you have chance to catch up on it beforehand

Hi all,
thanks to all of you for you kind comments since the last week.
It's been a really hard slog last week to get the second part written, photographed, edited, website done and notifications all in just over a week but it's there now.
Things I've learned so far?
It's not as easy as it looks putting all your thoughts down on paper to this level.
It's not so easy getting it noticed in such a short time but we've managed 1400 downloads so far so it must be helping some (we started a month ago for our friend alone).
It's really easy to get too passionate for which I apologise.
I'm getting old and tired!
Aside from all that thanks again and I'll keep going at it for as long as I can.
Not sure in which direction it will be going for Part 3, as it's my wifes friend who sort of determines that depending how she gets on with Part 2.
Cheers

It's been driving me crazy as I got turned down by people because it's release was imminent.
Anyway, I still hope it helps and glad people are enjoying it.
If I get nothing else in life, to have a lady ring you to thank you and tell you about her life and struggles discuss budgets and how it helps to feed a very large family, it cannot be beaten and considering I'm not a God fearing man to have people send emails with 'God bless you' on several different messages means a really, really huge amount.
I would happily do nothing else but find a way of continuing to help people like this. It is a feeling that money could not replace and I'm more determined now to continue.
I've got the idea being put to the local council next week to help low income families so wish me luck.
Cheers

Just popped on to say a massive THANK YOU to Burp as the freebies thread is in the e-mail this week!! :beer:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Mark - good luck with your proposal to the council. Noticed this week in the Parentalk paper the kids bring home from school, that someone is offering cookery lessons and had the "fit for life" logo on it, assume that they must be getting some kind of costs/support. Perhaps offering classes could be a way to go for you, many people don't have enough money, but many more have money but not enough knowledge of how to spend it to get the best from their food.
Best of luck with your venture and thanks for part 2 - off to read now!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
