HSBC taking sooo long to get back to me

Hello again everyone HSBC are taking such a long time to get back to me to tell me if i have been accepted for my mortgage with them. I recieved a letter from them on the 17th to say they will be in contact shortly. Now it is the 26th and they have still not told me i phoned them on Monday and Tuesday and was told both times that it is with the auditors waiting to be countersigned. The trouble is my seller is getting very impatient and i can understand why. they are saying that they will put the house back on the market if i don't sor t it out. Is there anything i can do to make HSBC move faster or do i just have to wait?

There is nothing you can do. The USA alone has a $9trillion dollar deficit, all steming from bad lending. As such lenders are operating sound due dilligence process's, which we all need to accept is the new norm.

Hope this doesn't sound irrelevant but I requested a financial review with HSBC on July 9th. Heard nothing, chased them up on 14th August, still nothing. It isn't massively inconveniencing me - I just want to know behavioural score - but they do seem generally very slow at the mo..

I was seen within a week of asking (end of July) so even allowing for staff being on summer leave it seems surprising
