low energy lightbulbs

not posted before so if its in the wrong place sorry but thought i would share. just brought a low energy spiral bulb from tescos at a cost of £2 but there was an offer on the small yellow sticker of buy 4 bulbs for £1.99! i thought it was abit grazy but when i took 4 bulbs to the till yer savings came up of £6.01 each bulb 50p amazing value and they last 15 yrs !!!:cool:

    5 bulbs in Home Bargains are a £1 at the moment too. :)
  • Netto have energy saving bulbs in a the minute for 10p each!

    I had a Phillips Softone Low Energy one fail on me after 11 months, (they look like ordinary light bulbs not the mini fluorescent ones) and i think they say it lasts 5 years.

    Took it back to the shop where i purchased it and they replaced it under guarantee

  • i always go for the 100w equivalent and try and pay about 10p each, that way there is always a reasonable supply in the house
    things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
    BH is my best mate too, its ok :)
