Total nightmare lol
CC's took more of a hit over Christmas.
I need to do a new SOA, cos I know now for sure how much money I will get paid when bean is here and nursery costs etc.
We have got so much better with the takeaways and shopping, we have been spending about £30 a week on food.
This is my first week off on maternity leave, so so far so good, I've been able to make OH's sandwiches for work (he used to buy a bacon sarnie) and I have been making tea every night.
The bank manager we saw the other week suggested instead of getting the overdraft down first we should concentrate on the CC's?
We now have M&S £3300 (0% just ran out), Virgin £2600 (0% due to run out March) and Lloyds £2600 (19.9%)
I applied and got accepted for a 0% balance transfer card with ASDA and got it and a £4000 limit
So plan is to move the Lloyds card £2600 over and some of the Virgin card over £1400 then try and hammer the rest of whats left on the Virgin card £1200
We applied for a Virgin card for OH for 0% for 16 months but we havent heard if he has it yet, I dont think he will get it cos the loan and car loan is in his name (totalling 28k)
So yeah the Bank manager reckons we would be better off say if at the end of a month our overdraft is £600 paying the remainder of our limit (£1000) £400 off a card?
And then once the cards are paid off pay the overdraft off as hte interest of it is a lot smaller than the cards?/
Bump is fab thanks, well loads of pelvic pain actually and I just want beany here lol

Ok in an attempt to sort this all out I am updating, my Asda card came today (with 0% for 12 months balance tranfers)
So these are the 4 things we are going to concentrate on first (before the loans and then mortgage)
Lloyds Classic account overdraft of £1000 interest rate of 2% (per month = 26.82% APR)
Virgin Credit Card £1455 0% till May, then monthly rate is 1.2916% (16.65% APR)
M&S Credit Card £3284.40 (41.27/3284.40 x 100 = 1.2565% per month = 16.16% APR)
ASDA Credit card balance of £3811 0% Feb 2011 (Then 23.8%)
So we are hoping to overpay by £250 a month, fingers crossed here we go lolDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Looking good...although I realise it will soon be all change. :rotfl:
I'm so excited about you and EA getting so close to your due dates...I'm on pins. It's really silly! I just feel like I've been watching from the start and can't wait to be around to share in the good news. How odd is that! I'm sure you know what I mean though.
It's all kicked off again on the ttc thread. Some of us oldies were saying we feel a bit left out of the loop - it's been moving so fast. And that we don't really fit....some people took offense....and now it's all gone a bit pete tong because some people have gotten a little nasty with their comments!!
I'm now debating whether to leave....don't know where I'd lurk then though.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

hope you don't mind me commenting but i have felt it's better me to officially not post on the ttc thread (even though i'm only a newby on there) as i felt that my posts were just ignored, people didn't even say hi. Glad i haven't been on there too often if it's all gone a bit Pete tong0
