it all looks like it works on paper when i look at a budget like that, i

i forgot to add into that the amount we spend on cigs each month. about £200. but trying to quit. except with all this stress its the only thing keeping me sane.

So that is a large chunk of the amount left.

only 4 mths into contracts with mobiles so cant get out of them

sky package is on lowest it can be, but that is bumped up by calls made from landline

and car insurance is cheapest he can get.

Is it absolutely necessary for you to have car? If it costs you £1900 to repair a car that recently cost £15K, then something is very wrong.

And if that is the insurance, then either he is very young, or has masses of points or both. It would be a lot cheaper to get him off the road.

You need to check all the paperwork regarding the car and find out when you can get rid of it. Then buy a cheap run around for which he pays less insurance, if it is esssential.

    You cant afford flash cars.

I know it looks like we had extra but that goes on varied crap, like dogs attacking each other and costing us a massive vet bill.Plus putting said new rescue dog to sleep. Not nice, but i have to put the emotional part aside and sort finances out for my families sake.

i know, and i keep telling him that, but i do understand what he says, we have so much stress in our lives and so much bad stuff going on that the car is the only bit of luxury we have. and i think we would go stir crazy if we had nothing nice at all in our lives.

You both need to keep a complete spending diary to find out where this £100 has gone

You have a choice - cut out all the other luxeries or have the car.

You need to understand that cigs, much as you need them, satellite TV, mobile phone contracts and cars are all luxeries and you cannot aford them and sort out the pay-day loans.

You starting point has to be to pull together enough by selling stuff and cuttting back this month to pay off one payday loan.

Try and find you local Credit union. They may let you have enough next month to pay off another loan. Although that will not reduce your debt, it may give you enough breathing space to pay off another cheque the next month.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • i looked on the website of my local credit union and it looks like i have to pay into it to get anything out of it is that the case?
  • does anyone know of where i can get a loan with bad credit wothout having to pay admin fees?
