CSA Lost My Child Suport!

Hi

My ex has a deo against him. I normally recieve my Child Support by the 19th of the month. I still haven't recieved it this month and after numerous phone calls the CSA have admitted that they have lost the payment!

However, they do have a whole department that deals with payments they have lost, so that's a comfort!

I have bills to pay, not to mention kitting DS out for new school year and was relying on that money (I know, should know better by now!)

Anyone been in the same position? Any idea how long it will take them to sort it out?

Make a formal complaint and then do it via your MP - they tend to get a quicker resolution than you or I would.

I'm more shocked that they have a whole separate dept to deal with this obviously it happens often!

Nope, that wouldn't make it lost. If there was money due to SOS on a case the payment can be brought back and reallocated. Lost to me would imply tht it hasn't been near that case.

Have they explained how they've come to lose it then?

I'm more shocked by the fact that they have an entire department who's job it is to find money they have lost.

Unfortunately, it is the same department whose job it is to put the money on the cases in the first place.
  • Good news, I've just phoned and they have found the missing payment.

I should recieve it sometime next week!
