On the road to Bankruptcy.

I have a meeting with the CAB tomorrow to help fill out the forms for bankruptcy. After getting advice from CAB and the National debtline they advised that this was the best way to go.
I have almost £29000 of debt through buying stuff I found that I couldn't afford since and has been going on for years. I have a good job and my priority bills are paid on time. If I did pay the debtors any spare money, it would take approx 10 years to clear and knowing my bad luck something would happen, where I would miss payments (trust me I do have very bad luck!!!) with another 6 years to clear my credit file. My Credit rating is the lowest it can be and to be honest a right mess CCJ's default bad payment history.
I am writing just to say that I have been reading all the stuff on here and can be happy in the knowledge that I am not alone. I feel alot more confident in getting it done and will continue to read other peoples experiences to build my knowledge so I do not go down this road again.
So many thanks to the people that have asked for help and many thanks for the people that answered peoples questions. I hope one day my experenice of being bankrupt will help someone too. :j
