At court tommorrow help required

Hello again, I am going to my bankruptcy hearing tommorrow what should I take. I have the forms that I filled in and my £510 is there anything else I should take.

Does anyone have any ideas of the kind of questions I will be asked and any questions I should ask.

Does the court tell me when the OR will call me ie times or dates.

Do I have to take wage slips etc tommorrow or do I wait till the OR contacts me.

Does my new bank account with barclays which i opened after talking to the cccs freeze after seeing the or. As my morgage and household bills are taken from this account. Or should I withdraw all the money.

The reason i ask is my bills come out on the 1st and my wages are paid on the first , so any cash that is in there at the mo might be seen as spare. As the money that gets paid in on the 1st normally pays all my bills and mortgage. So does my bank account freeze tommorrow? Thanks In advance

Does anyone have any ideas of the kind of questions I will be asked and any questions I should ask. You may be asked by judge (if you see one) whether you've sort advice - you can answer yes if you've talked to CAB/CCCs/national debtline

Does the court tell me when the OR will call me ie times or dates. Every court is different but you're likely to have a phone call that day - I spoke to the OR before I let court, they just checked contact details and advised they would be in touch within a week, which they were in the form of a letter.

Do I have to take wage slips etc tommorrow or do I wait till the OR contacts me. These won't be needed in court.

Does my new bank account with barclays which i opened after talking to the cccs freeze after seeing the or. As my morgage and household bills are taken from this account. Or should I withdraw all the money. Is it a basic no frills account? I'd take the money out if not as it may be frozen even if OR declares no interest in it. You can call co-op and open a cashminder account with them once you leave court tomorrow - that's what I did.

The reason i ask is my bills come out on the 1st and my wages are paid on the first , so any cash that is in there at the mo might be seen as spare. As the money that gets paid in on the 1st normally pays all my bills and mortgage. So does my bank account freeze tommorrow? Thanks In advance

Good luck and try not to worry.

    Hi Laddo27

    Good Luck tomorrow.

As regards the Barclays a/c & ddrs.....mention to OR if you can keep as the a/c was opened for post BR purpose ...if not just open another account (Coop/Barclays)& switch ddrs over .

Hello again, I am going to my bankruptcy hearing tommorrow what should I take. I have the forms that I filled in and my £510 is there anything else I should take. Forms and money, snack and newspaper

Does anyone have any ideas of the kind of questions I will be asked and any questions I should ask. If you see the judge s/he will ask if you have taken advice and if you are aware of the implications of BR

Does the court tell me when the OR will call me ie times or dates. You will either have a quick chat with someone from OR's office after declared BR or they will ring you later and go through a few bits, main interview will be later

Do I have to take wage slips etc tommorrow or do I wait till the OR contacts me. OR will let you know

Does my new bank account with barclays which i opened after talking to the cccs freeze after seeing the or. As my morgage and household bills are taken from this account. Or should I withdraw all the money. Very unlikely the account will be frozen, the member of staff from ORs office will talk to you about this, don't worry

As the money that gets paid in on the 1st normally pays all my bills and mortgage. So does my bank account freeze tommorrow? Thanks In advance Even if your account were to freeze, prob wouldn't be tomorrow, ask the OR when you have your chat

Don't worry, it will be fine, it's 2 weeks since mine and I couldn't drive I was shaking that much! Crackers cos it was all very straightforward, and my account with the co-op, OR had no interest and its been fine ever since. Good luck

  • Hi, Good Luck for tomorrow, we had ours yesterday.

I believe they need 3 forms (Birmingham County Court did) and just make sure you have filled all the address details in on section 4 as we found out they were required even though the internet does not require them.

Laddo, as Donkey Kong says, you will normally need three copies of the forms. Make sure you have these as if they have to photocopy them at the court they are likely to charge a fortune (£5 for uo to 10 sheets and then 50p per sheet) - with money that 40 sheets, it would cost over £20 :(

If your Barclays account was opened in preparation for bankruptcy then it should be OK. I opened my co-op account three weekd before hand, and that was fine.

You will not need to take payslips unless you are trying to get a reduction in the court fees due to low income, but to do thet you will need to complete the relevant form and maybe take other documents as well.

Good luck, you have nothing to worry about :)

My court only required one copy of the forms. Good luck tomorrow! It'll all be fine.
