Yes, Argos sneakily puts prices up and down. You CANNOT rely on the official sale leaflets, often you will find the best bargains between these leaflets by browsing Argos.co.uk on a regular basis ;)

Just today for example I have noticed the Mario Kart Nintendo DS packs rise from £89.99 to £99.99

    Hi

You might find it is to do with the "28 day" rule for sale prices. Meaning it has to have been on sale somewhere within the last 28 days in store for the higher price before they can use it as a price comparison in sale prices. There is about a month (2 really) until Father's Day and no doubt it will be a sale item as a "Boy's Toy"

Mind you Argos is one of the good ones, you want to visit Tesco on a daily basis, and you get a headache trying to remember what the price was the last time you visited!

This could be me just talking out of my hat, but it sounds like a good enough answer as any :)
  • thanks replinco sounds very plausable
