Mortgage payment gone adrift!!!!

Options
Forgot to say in my last post about BOS. Rang to make my May mortgage payment. Very chuffed to be making it early for once. When I rang I was only making April's. The mortgage has been paid for the last few months on our mortgage protection and April was the last payment made by the Insurance Company. When I checked it seems that they decided rather than pay the Mortgage company they would pay us instead!!!!!! Great - only they sent it to our old bank, the one with the big overdraft, WHICH THEY HAVE JUST DEMANDED BACK!!! So my mortgage money has been eaten up.

Now I am sure somewhere there is a rule that says they can't take money that is meant for essentials. Surely my mortgage is an essential.

When I rang the Insurance company they said they would see what they could do!!! My god, I am writing so many letters of complaint lately that I am developing RSI!!

Come on you loveley's - make me feel better and dish out the advice.

Sammy

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

 No good side to it! I did tell them about change of bank details. The new account is where their monthly payment comes from, and its no good lowering my overdraft if my house gets repossessed.

  • What a bummer. If you did tell them about change of bank details then surely they can do something to reclaim that money back?
Beg them, use tears if you must!!

    Good luck with it all!

I kind of had something similar, well not really similar, but I pay my mortgage by post.
I took my money from my bank account, posted it special delivery to pay my mortgage and some cheques for my bank account, had them in 2 seperate envelopes with my datails on each - and what did they do? Put both cheques AND my mortgage money back into my bank account!! The plonkers!!

I only realised after I had spent the unexpected money in my bank account so last year was 14 odd pound in arrears through their fault. (grrring smiley)

It is a bummer. Got up at 4.15 cos it was going round and round in my head. Mortgage is quite steep so not getting it back would be quite a big problem. Just when i was getting on top of things too.

May just ring the bank today, trouble is I am doing them for bank charges so they may not be too helpful.
