Beckie originally posted this on the Freebies board, but i thought it made sense to post it here as well.
You can get a "single use" £2.00 gift code for cdwow.com by entering the L'Oreal competition. Entry form is at http://www.lorealparis.co.uk/minisites/studioline/form1.asp I think basically everyone who enters the competition gets one, though a few lucky people will get a e-voucher code for a free cd (to the value of £8.99). The vouchers should take around a day to arrive by email. The top prize is tickets to a music festival. Anyway if u "win" a discount voucher, but dont have any use for it, why not post it here, and let others get the benefit
Be warned though if you are going to use these cdwow codes to make sure that you are actually going to purchase an item before redeeming the code, as if you apply the code to your shopping basket, then decide you dont want to buy the item/s after all and empty your basket, the code will not be able to be used again.
UPDATE: As noted lower down the thread by SamRobbins you can bump the discount up by a further £1.50 if you visit the site using the following URL http://www.cdwow.com/burton

How long did it take from entering the competition to getting the code? (am presuming it got sent by email). I entered my details this morning and my mums tonight but heard nothing except a thank you for registering email.
Thanks0 -
Hi londongirl, welcome to the site.
I entered 2 days ago and I haven't received anything yet. Entries will be accepted until the 18th August so there's plenty of time.
Apparently this is the first round of the competition where all entries are guaranteed a cd wow voucher or chart album, then all entries are entered in to the next round to win one of 10 mp3 players or the V festival prize0 -
I think I had to wait about a week to get my email with CD Wow code. Apparantly this can be used with another £1.50 off link which is mentioned somewhere on this forum.
If anyone has the specific details, please post. Thanks!0 -
The £1.50 off link is at https://www.cd-wow.com/burtons
Hope i've got that right!
Thanks for the welcome Sparky61 - I have been lurking for a good few weeks having been directed here from the bargains and discounts newsgroup. Hopefully i'll be able to contribute something useful soon!!0 -
Oh and thanks for the info - hadn't realised it took that long - maybe i'll end up with loads of codes since i have registered twice and i've registered twice for my mum since i didn't think it had worked!!0
