The letters are starting to arrive

Had the initial letters and now the default notices are coming through threatening legal action etc......although I know I shouldn't panic about this, it's still quite stressful................
I received a letter from Barclaycard.......'we are not accepting the amount offered and interest will be charged on your account until the balance is cleared'..........at this rate I will be 92 before it's cleared...lol.
Sorry for moaning..........

Hey there dmb37
I am sorry to see you are faced with hard times at the moment. Hang in there, things will get easier. Are you with Payplan/CCCS/CAB? I really hope you are not dealing with this alone.
Lots of :grouphug: and take it one day at a time. Feel free to come on here and moan/off load anytime you like. Remember you are not alone and tomorrow is a new day.

This is really the worst time you will have. As others have said, tell them to contact you in writing only & pass any correspondance onto Payplan. It WILL sort itself out eventually & your mind will become a lot clearer & calmer when it is. I had the same situation as you in 2000 when I had 7 creditors phoning me at home & at work not accepting this, that & the other etc. But eventually all of them accepted my proposals once they were convinced that there was no point in trying to get more money out of me because there was none left to give. DO NOT be talked in to paying more than you can afford as this will cause you far more problems in the future. I still have approx. 2 more years to go so the end is in sight.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)
