Pattipan squash

I have a couple of these in the fridge to use up. I'm not a massive fan of things involving squash as find them very sweet. Do you think I could par-cook them then do with cauliflower in a cheese sauce with a breadcrumby top? Like a squash and cauli bake? maybe with spuds and onions too? To have with roasted chicken?
Am at a loss!

Think of it as more like a flying saucer-shaped courgette than a weirdly-shaped squash; it's a summer squash (like courgette etc) rather than a winter squash (the squash we're used to normally) - you could do all of the above, but I find they're best sliced and gently fried with a little garlic and onion and then maybe serve it up with your roast chicken like thatOh come on, don't be silly.

Oh hang on, summer squash, like a courgette-does it taste anything like courgette because I abhor that
Came in my veg box, I presumed as was squash was like butternut, which I can tolerate in very savoury things like currys but not in soups. Hmm, may get palmed off on family members!0 -
Yes - much more like a courgette than, say, a butternut squash or something like that. They're quite nice stuffed (as you might a pepper, for instance), savoury rice filling and a little crumbled feta, and makes a nice dinner for a change.
That said - if you don't care for courgette much, you're possibly not going to like pattipan. Give it a go by all means - it's a wonderful little veg, and I personally can't get enough - but know in advance that it's maybe not the suash you originally thought......Oh come on, don't be silly.

Thanks, I reckon I might pass it on to a friend who loves stuff like that, I really really dislike courgette (as opposed to just not caring for it
) I keep trying it in case I like it now but I just can't stand the taste, so am ready to admit that. Would rather give it to someone who might like it rather than use it myself and waste it!
