    Hi Steve,

The free cycle hire was advertised/printed in a paper last Sat. Thought I would explore and post on here and found the following (which are the links in my post) :-

The first link takes you to this (copied below) which mentions the free cycle hire and is under the second sub-heading.

Ainsdale%20Discovery%20Cen%20(Custom).jpg 'The Ainsdale Discovery Centre, situated adjacent to the beach and Ainsdale & Birkdale Sandhills Local Nature Reserve, provides local information, a classroom facility and free cycle hire.

The whole of this Gateway is managed by Sefton Coast and Countryside Service. There is good access by public transport, toilets at the beach entrance and ample parking for cars .........'

The second link is to the centre - I just stuck that on for info. and incase it said something about having to pay entrance but it doesn't seem to.

The third link is a free 32 or so page PDF download telling of walks, attractions in the general area etc.(Southport) although there are links to free pdf coastal walks/cycling, events and an Itinery Planner for Sefton specifically on the page already - I thought that just incase anyone goes they might find it helpful if posted for them.

If anyone realises/knows the bike hire does not turn out to be a 'no spend' freebie, feel free to ask BG to delete or let me know...... or maybe is just for schools?

    Pip.

p.s. Did just double check link and got same page with the free bit on each
time. Did you 'google' - it looks like it may be a different page entirely

p.p.s Just re-read as this has got me scratching my head -wonder if your info.
is for a different centre as it says 'Eco Centre, Esplanade'. The free
cycle hire one is Ainsdale Discovery Centre, Promenade, Southport
