Hey all. i'm a 26 yr old full time home carer. I'm claiming income support and carers allowance. I've been looking after my mum for the last couple years and am now ready to start some part-time home study training ( i'm looking into gardening/garden design courses as i want to become a self-employed gardener;)).
Courses are in the region of £350-£500 and as i'm on the laughable amount that i recieve as a carer this is pretty much out of my budget
I know that companies such as learn direct are great for brushing up on skills and gcse's and so on but i can't find out much about help for more specific courses such as agriculture.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :rotfl:

Is there anything of interest from the Open University? I believe they're quite cheap for people on some benefits.Signature removed for peace of mind0

If you're on IS, many courses at your local college will be free and they'll probably offer something in horticulture, if not garden design. You won't normally get funding for distance learning.0
