I have mortgage endownment policy that has a start date of 13/04/1988 and an end date of 13/04/2010.
The first payment was paid 13/04/1988,
when is the last payment, 13/03/2010 or 13/04/2010 and when should I expect the money?
This is now with the Prudential but was originally Scottish Amicable.

Last payment 13/03/2010 (I'd cancel the d/d after that), you should have the payout around 13/04/2010 or soon after.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
i have just received a letter but for a policy that matures in sept 09. Only problem is all the green letters were useless as they have been reducing the terminal bonus as and how they please now leading to a £700 shortfall.
In july 08 the statement said a they believe a 6% growth is a reasonable assumption and advised that they were not expecting a shortfall - standard FSA guidlines that are meaningless. I have just queried this with Pru and they advised that the terminal bonus up to Nov 08 was 50% of sum assured +existing bonus's. this would have given me more than the policy was set up for. In november they reduced the terminal bonus to 40% (would have just about hit target) and in March reduced to 30% (£700 shortfall). i have logged this with their complaints department but does anyone have any further advice? or do i just have to accept their figures.0 -
My Scot Am Prudential endowment matures in May 2010 and I would be dancing on the ceiling if there was only a £700 shortfall :jIt's more likely to be £4000:mad:0

They are swinging back round hansi. I checked a value on one recently and the MVR had gone and terminal bonus had gone back up. Not back to pre crash levels but it was trending the right way.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. It depends on the version of the plan you have. Some update more frequently than others. I suspect if yours is the same, you will have to wait until Jan/Feb for their next update.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
