I have came across my breakmaker in a cupboard. I remember putting it away after a disaterous attempt at making a granary loaf with a packet mix.
I`m now attempting to make a wholemeal loaf using a packet mix.
Couldn`t remember how to use it and can`t find the manual. I`ve just put all the ingredients in together and selected wholewheat mix setting. The time came up as 4.15 hours does this sound right?
Anyway fingers crossed all turns out ok.

Good luck! I haven't used my breadmaker 4 3 years because of illness but I'm on the mend now and I'm remembering how good the sundried tomato bread was. I must say though I've never had much success with the packet mixes.
What make is your breadmaker? If it's the same as mine perhaps I could give you some receipes etc or it may be possible to download the handbook of the webs. Someone once told me that there is a web site where you can download all sorts of handbooks if they are not on the specific product web site but didn't know what it was called. Perhaps if you post a request on the techchie board if you can't find it they will be able to help.
Good luck0 -
I regularly make granary loaves on my Panasonic. It takes 5 hours for the 'large' loaf. Beautiful
Where do you get the sundried tomato ingredients?Marching On Together

I have a great bread recipe book that I got from lakeland. It has instructions to make 3 different sized loaves for each recipe. You just have to measure how much water your breadmaker bowl contains in CUPS (it is American!). Great recipes.
One thing that you have to be careful of is whether the instructions of your machine tell you to add the liquid first or last - this appears to be something not to be played around with.
Alternative option - look on ebay for a bread maker the same as yours and email the seller to ask if they can tell you when the water goes in.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Hey, hope it goes ok. I got a breadmaker and want to try making some rolls or ciabatta!

If you Google up *name and model of breadmaker* plus *instructions* you'll probably be able to download a copy of the instruction book from the web.Val.0

Hi Britrael
If I remember rightly it was just a white loaf, (might have had some herbs) with sundried tomatoes reconstituted and added to mix. I bought them in Tescos because it was before we had a Asda (and much as I'd love to shop in the local Waitrose I'm afraid it is beyond my pocket, lol!). I should imagine all the supermarkets and possibly health food type shops sell them.
I have to go out shortly but will post the receipe as soon as I can.0
