how to clean up my credit file

Hi all i have a really bad credit rating with ten defaults and i have debts with debt collectors two have produced valid cca agreements and four have not others are for a loan one is a mobile settled and next directory settled now i want to know how best to negotiate with the ones i have to pay for a settlement figure as i know they do reduce them also what do i do about the ones that have not produced a valid cca?

I would contact the credit agencies and ask them to add a note on the defaults stating that you are in negotiations with the companies concerned. I would write to the companies offering settlement but make sure they correct your file afterwards(sometimes it takes some nagging)

The ones which are not valid I would get the credit agency to add a note these are under investigation so please do not take these into account while considering credit. I would write to the companies concerned stating why these are not valid and argue your case, if these are not valid it is not right for them to damage your credit.

I would offer a reasonable settlement figure to companies concerned, maybe making a low silly offer, never know they might just take it up! Good luck!

mant thanks for that very usefull advice i will have to contact them say one a month as i dont have sufficient funds to pay them all at once!
