Pension: offered double amount by Zurich?

I wrote in about partner's pension policy to complain about the fees which were not made clear to him when he first took out the policy (the financial adviser who was employed by Zurich was also a little bit of a crook too) saying that in 2 years he had not made a penny or in fact all of the 2 years money went into the companies fees. They offered a fee of the money we put in but after the letter i wrote have now offered practically double the rate (from £500 to about £1000 now!). Funny how the offer has changed. has anyone had a similar experience? thanks again.
