I can't believe the hotel hadn't been optimising the use of their function room, as soon as they walked in there on Griselda's walk around I thought "big opportunity". It wasn't my first thought ... my first thought was "!!!!!! is going on with those tablecloths??" - and that's from somebody who has no idea about being posh or sstyle, the appearance was very 1980s minging.

I loved the bit when she talked about the hotel's current clients and they panned to show a shot of mobility scooters.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

This may have been through editing, but the farmers didn't want to hear or appreciate the guy's opinions that it wasn't just banker's greed that caused the problems.

I'm sure he was about to talk about people's greed in wanting material goods and not thinking about how they were paid for, but the farmers diverted it to bonus culture.

Agreed! They were far too keen to go on about bonus culture and bankers' greed to listen to his side of the story. One thing the programme did show was how much people have put their fingers in their ears, whistled, and thought nothing about their own responsibility.

As I am laptopless for a while, I couldn't write my own thoughts on it.

Griselda did get on my nerves a bit ........but could have been a bit of jealousy on my part for her beautiful peachy complexion, coupled with her very priviledged upbringing. Her lack of understanding on what life is like for those without her sort of upbringing grated on me.
She thinks she got where she did purely through her own effort and ability. Genes played a part but type of school, diet, lifestyle etc played an equal part.

But she zipped it up for her presentation and then confessed that her redundancy clobbered her confidence....she didn't seem the type to have experienced many of lifes knocks.

Amit and the farmers was great. If I could afford him to advise my business I would...and that's the problem...people like us can't afford the services of people like him if we ever wanted them.

Not as bad as posts about horses though...there don't seem to be any neutral words when discussing horsy things
