can i reheat fresh sardines?

Good evening everyone, just a quick query, i had a pack of fresh sardines which were use by yesterday, ive cooked them today as they looked and smelt fine but i dont want to eat them right now just had to get them cooked, save wasting them as they couldnt be refrozen.
Will it be ok to reheat them tommorow? I figure i must be able to as i buy tinned fish and heat it and thats been cooked!
Anyone reassure me that i wont get food poisoning?!
