29.9% APR is killing us

Having had a financial amnesty with my Wife, it seems she has £6k with two credit cards, both with 29.9% APR.

She has missed 4-5 payments since January with the last in July & our credit rating is probably less than glittery. What is our best option try to clear this £6k & are there any reasonable loans or credit card rates that will take someone with recent missed payments?

If the missed payments are on a card in her name then it's her credit rating that will be affected.

There's a list of 0% balance transfer deals here

or low life-of balance deals here

Even if the missed payments are in her name, if they have any joint financial arrangements e.g. joint bank accounts or loans, then they will be financially associated and his credit rating will be trashed too. Time for a new wife.

Can you afford to start clearing this debt, or not?

    is there a default?
