New Credit card impact on Mortgage

Our mortgage deal runs out in January and we will require a 35%LTV. Can anyone advise if applying for a new credit card - I have 2 others currently would have any impact on my credit rating - which is good - and a further impact on an application if we decide to switch lenders?
