Not My Debt

just wanted to ask anybody in the know..i have lived at this address for near on 2 years and get DCA letters to a tenant that lived here over 6 years ago..why can't they trace them to there correct address?:confused:

    I've had that problem too - I know it's a hassle, but just write 'not known at this address' and stick them back in the post box. They should stop after a while. I don't know what happens re your credit rating though - I think they might attach the debt to your address if they can't trace them, so it's probably a good idea to get copies of your reports.

    As suggested just return the letters marked unknown at address, with regards to your credit file this will have no impact whatsoever, all credit information is specific to the individual, not the address, the only exception to this being CIFAS flags in relation to fraud, however these are purely used initiate further identity checks, rather than having any personal negative impact.
