Still receiving staff discount on store card six years after leaving.

I hope someone can clear the legalities of this for me.
I used to work for a High Street chain and had a store card with a 30% discount, but which only has a £100 limit.
I had my P45 when I left and have had no employment correspondance with them since. Their card is administered by a large financial company and I guess it was my bosses responsibility to inform the card company that I no longer work for them and to get the card to revert to a normal store card..
However, 6 years since I left I still get the discount. I use the card one or twice a year.
Where do I stand with this discount?
Could they recoup the discount given when it was not my responsibility to let the financial company know that I am no longer and employee?
Would I be best of just closing the account ot stop temptation?
Thanks
Jo

A former work colleague of mine's, son-in law's, father was a former director of a major catalogue shop-company and when he retured, the rule was he could use the discount card for 1 yr.
Several years later he was still ussng as he had found it wasn't cancelled, this from a guy who was a multi millionnaire.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
I suppose strictly speaking you are claiming something to which you know you are not entitled, but I would also have thought that the company should have asked for it's property (i.e. the card) back when you left.0
