My payplan stuff has arrived

feeling more postitve today than i have done for days, our payplan stuff has just arrived, we have one account number to add (for my barclay card as i cut it up so i dont have it untill i get a statement) its also payday which is always nice

i now have a soa as suggested by them if i post it maybe some of you could shave some of this down and hopefully we could then afford to pay more each month (if this makes sense)

The most scary part is seeing what we owe in black and white but im determined that we will get through this

Just a question for anyone who uses them is it worth paying the 5.00 per month for the 20k cover?.

my soa as done by them is as follows
building insurance 22.00
gas 45.00
electricity 45.00
hir purchase (car) 235.57
tv licence 10.99
telephone 40.00
road tax/ mot 18.00
insurance 65.00
petrol 100.00
maintence 25.00
breakdown cover 8.00
food/clothing etc 560.00 2 adults 1 2yr old a 9month old and soon baby
dentist etc 10.00
pets 25.00 have a rescued cat
hairdressing 26.00 not sure why i get my hair cut free
reg subs(hm forces must be for dh) 30.00

total expenditure 1,265.36

any advice etc welcome and thank you Fi xx

its a good feeling isnt it, when youve got them helping you?
you may still get a few phone calls from the creditors, but just say that due to the identity theft thats going on at the moment, youre not prepared to discuss it over the phone - they have to leave you alone then!!!
Good luck with the rest of the process with payplan - im a year into my arrangement, and its the best thing i ever did - and you start to sleep at night too!!

Woo ooo!! Its a good feeling isn't it. I've gone for the £5 mainly because I think Payplan deserve it. You may 'dip' a little more before you really start going up hill by this I mean you will have to be a little more paitent as things start cranking up. Use your justabank account as much as possible. The phone number for your case officer is there and you can sned them a message directly from your justabank account - word of advice if you use that messaging system - always use your Payplan ID first otherwise it can get lost and it could take them weeks to get back to you. Keep smiling.

  • Glad that you are feeling more positive and that you are now sorted with Payplan. That's a big step forward for you.

Just keep chipping away at it.

To be honest Payplan and the CCCS tend to slightly over budget so you don't get into anymore financial difficulties.

By all means try and keep your expenditure down to as little as possible. That way you can perhaps start a savings account and then when in a position to do so ask your creditors for a full and final settlement figure. :D

I'm afraid I have no idea what the £20k cover is but good luck!

    Hi Fizell

I'm with Payplan and now 4 months ino the process. All going well thank god and only one creditor still being a pain (NCO)

I went for the £5 mainly cause if anything went wrong its an additional safeguard but also i thin Payplan do a brill job and given the situation a fiver to them is woth far more to me. Stick with it you wont regret it.
