Rosemary - How to turn it into a gift?

Last year I gave my mum some bay leaves (from our garden) along with a "recipe book" I made myself with the kids help. I spent the afternoon printing out recipes I found on the web that used bay leaves onto different coloured paper and then cut round the recipe and stuck it onto card which the children had drawn a border on, punched holes in the card and tied it all together with raffia. Looked lovely when it was finished and cost me pennies since it was stuff I already had - maybe you could do something similar with your rosemary?0

you could take some cuttings, grow them on, then plant three in a nice earthenware plant pot? It is about the right time of year to do it.0

if you process it with coarse salt and peppercorns, and strips of dried lemon zest it makes a fab savoury salt - you could go wild and add all sorts that took your fancy.0

You can use sprigs of it to flavour sugar (in the same way as vanilla sugar)
Put it in a pretty jar and maybe attach some recipe suggestions? (eg a plain sweet biscuit recipe using the flavoured sugar and with more sprinkled on top)0 -

Scribble down some directions to the bushes and stick them in an envelope. Call it a money saving gift voucher.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
