    merry christmas all,

    question for today......

how do you wash feather pillows please?

label says " do not hand wash,do not bleach,do not tumble dry"

it doesn't say "do not bung them in a machine."......any ideas??:o

When I had feather pillows I always washed them in a machine on a 40 wash and then tumbled on a low heat. Took ages to dry them though.
  • I wash mine in the washing machine - 40c- cottons(fast spin) - I tend to put some napisan in with them- no fabric softener - then tumble dry them on cool - wet feathers smell horrid!

I wouldn't wash them below sixty degrees because dust mites survive lower temperatures.
