Haha, can't say I've ever had that happen Birdie! I was actually a tad sad when I woke up because OH didn't look like Martin Rolinski anymore
Not that there's anything wrong with OHs face or owt.
Hope you like the book Tete! The woman who wrote it writes in a pretty cute style too, feels like you have a friend knattering to you rather than an old lady behind a sewing machine. My mums Good Food magazine came yesterday with 'Winter Pud' ideas, I'll have a flick through it when I get home for you Tete! (if she hasn't hidden it)0 -
What kind of pudding? Know a good recipe for a toffee apple sponge, or I make a mean chocolate and apple bread and butter pudding (I was bored, was using up leftovers!). Very simlpe, get one of those crusty loaves that look like a giant slug, slice into rough slices/chunks and arrange in a oven proof dish so they roughly stand upright/at 45 degrees ish, not stacked on top of one another like a sandwich. Core 2 apples and slice, and tuck the apples in between the bread slices. Snap up about 75-100g of chocolate, I like a mix of dark and white but your call, and slot this in between the slices too. In a pan mix a pot of elmlea (or real cream, elmlea is lower in fat though) which is 287ml i think, with the same amount of milk, and add 75g of dark chocolate. stir until the chocolate is melted into the milky mixture and pour over the bread. Leave to soak for a minimum of an hour but up to 12 hours. Shove (technical term) in the oven at 180C for 20-25mins until its a bit golden on top. Serve with cream or ice cream. watch hips grow. Also works with pears, plums, blackberries, any kind of fairly low water tree-grown fruit really.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Cold is rubbish, woke up about 30 times in the night, NIM even had to get up to get me more juice, I've got through 180 tissues since 6pm yesterday, sneexing too much to drive so dad had to take me to work and I'm living on lucozade.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That doesn't sound all too great Dinah! I hope you're feeling better soon, mine's just the start of a cold so I have all that joy left to come.
The pudding sounds yum! I'm on the diet now though so I'm resisting writing it down.0 -
I feel sorry for those of you with a cold, mine was horrible a few weeks ago.
Friday yay! I didn't do much last night as OH was ill, managed to finally write a review though. Am off to Southampton tonight, out for a friends birthday dressed as a leopard haha, am slightly cheating wearing a leapard dress and i made some ears. Going to be a rush as havent packed so need to pack, drive home, get ready and go out.0 -
It's the Good Food website I've been on Cinny, printing off a few ideas for OH to choose from later.get one of those crusty loaves that look like a giant slug
Is that the technical term?! Problem is I'm not too keen on hot fruit ... is there such a thing as a non-fruit crumble?
Been out to Smiths to get a leaving card for work and craftily posted my parcel and picked up my book whilst I was there hehe, will have a look through the book later while I'm having my lentil soup. I'm hungry NOW

You could leave the apple out of the bread and butter pudding? I can't think of how you'd get a crumble with no fruit!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I don't think Crumbles come in non-fruit form? Thinking of Apple Crumbles is making me majorly crave a Apple Strudel - Yum!
Blah, the weather is awful! Need to go to the bank afterwork, I ain't looking forward to walking around in this weather!0 -
I love studel, lots of spices, yum.
I could give you a non oat crumble, but non fruit, I don't think that works! The BBC good food site gives a lovely cookie dough fruit crumble.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hmm well I'm thinking along the lines of a bread and butter pudding, or maybe a gooey chocolate one if OH fancies it.
The university have just bought spinning machines and I've booked myself onto a class on Wednesday lunchtime - oh god oh god oh god what have I done? I have this feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach now!
I think Poddle does spinning - how bad is it really?
