I charge £8 as there is a lot of discount couriers on the ebay board on here. They buy off DHL in bulk so its still proper coverage.

You'd be suprised, we got over £100 for our spares or repairs laptop.

I would actually take the Hard Drive out of the laptop and advise so on ebay that this has been done for personal security reasons. The new buyer can get a new hard drive for peanuts these days.
  • I'll have to get OH to have a look then - I wouldn't know a hard drive if it bopped me on the nose. Thanks for all the advice!

Just had an update from the police, they came to the house rather than visit OH at work.

They visited the main 'suspect' (basically the guy who OH thinks it was) basically warned him to keep away etc... they also found some footage on CCTV in another area of town basically causing trouble so have cautioned and fined him 50 pound for that. They are pushing forward charges of drugs posession on all of those who were sacked.

OH has now gone off to work, although even the police officer recommended he stays at home today. His face looks awful has really bruised quite badly.

His mum has insisted that his dad go and meet him from work when he finishes tonight though, hope he'll be ok.

I'm sure he'll be fine, especially with his dad there and I'm sure other work colleagues will be looking out for him today.

  • I'm glad they've done something at least Flower. "Causing trouble in another part of town" - what delightful people they sound! I think it's prob best for OH to carry on as normal really, hope he's ok though.

I'm having jacket spud and cottage cheese with a bit of salad - about 235 cals.

Hello! Flower, I can't believe what happened to your OH, that's terrible! I hope he heals quickly, I'm sure he'll be OK tonight, people will be looking out for him and the scumbags who did it shouldn't be stupid enough to do it again now they know that the police are suspicious.

I haven't had a chance to measure myself but I weighed myself this morning and I'm 10st3 (so I've lost a whole 6lbs during the last challenge period!) which at 5'6" (and a bit but the bit doesn't count!) gives me a BMI of 23.1. I'd like to get down to 9st6 at least so not quite a stone but I suppose the extra 3lbs shouldn't be too hard to shift... I even went swimming before work this morning to give myself a good kick start to the challenge- and OH made me go with him despite my pleas for him to leave me in bed!

I went to my Mum's last night and I came away £100 richer! My brother has actually paid me for the laptop I sold him! Whoop whoop! It'll be getting changed into Dominican Pesos at the weekend so I can't spend it and it has the added bonus of making me feel ready for my holiday, I'm so excited I wriggle about every time I think about it!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I saw that coming a mile off.

As to what can be done, if your oh thinks its likely that they are the guilty party he can sue them for damaged. Takes a LOT less evidence and usually has the same effect.

Plus if they settle out of court a little legal jiggery pokery can land them in prison with a criminal record etc for it.

There are days I think maybe I should have tried harder to do something with me law degree.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

    Hi all,

Just back from the scan. It went really well and the 2 sonographers were so nice. The baby is measuring normal for everything (so proud of him/her).The baby was curled up in a ball at the beginning and then went hyper and was kicking and moving it's arms around.

I have to go back and be re-scanned at 35 weeks as my placenta is quite near the cervix so if it covers it I will need a c-section. The chances are it will have moved though so I am not worrying at all.

I didn't find out the sex. I want a nice surprise at the end of labour :)

I can post up a scan photo later if anyone wants to see it.

I'd love to see it CMD, so chuffed for you that today went well. Even if you do have to have a C section its not the end of the world.
