Can anyone advise on the best fixed rate mortgage around at the moment?

There is no best fixed rate that will cover everybody as everyones situation is different

If you can post a little more information of what you are looking to do I am sure more people will come along and help point you in the right direction

As herbies says you need to post more info.

But don't just look at the rate because when fees are added the best headline rates can often be more expensive over the discounted/fixed period than a slightly higher rate with lower fees. For example, Northern Rock [and others] were offering a <4% rate recently but the arr fee was 1.5% of the loan amount, maybe a good deal for someone with a small mortgage but for a large one it could make the true cost over the period 5+%.
