Endowmentaction rules!

If anyone is considering using this website, please do!!
After seeing the testimonials about missold endowments we decided to act on ours, something we had never considered before.
Our case was 2 endowments, the first sold to cover £20000 in 1989 and the second sold to cover £18500 in 1992. Both were with Colonial Mutual who are now Winterthur Life. The endowmentaction website helped us write the appropriate letters which took about 5 minutes. Winterthur got in touch within10 days with some lengthy forms which admittedly took an hour to research and complete. However, after 6 weeks of waiting (and an interim letter saying it was taking longer to process than they would like:j ) we have just been offered £4951 in compensation! We are thrilled!!!!
I am totally inspired by this website and am on the way to becoming a true moneysavingexpert - I currently have 20K sitting in the bank offsetting my mortgage for free courtesey of MBNA and Virgin!!!!
