I've just rang the court and they have said I can go next Tuesday at 11am!!
I may well be coming back to ask for help with completing the forms....what do I say the reason is for me applying for BR?

All the best. It'll seem absolutely terrifying but believe me when I say you'll get through it. The court staff are on the whole very professional and shouldn't do anything to make process harder. My experience was 'pleasant'. Good luck.2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)

Don't panic
I've got my date this week (Thursday) and most of last week I was absolutely terrified! But this week I feel inhumanly calm. Listen to what folks say on here, everybody goes in to it expecting to go through hell and comes out the other side an hour or so later thinking how daft they were for getting so worked up in the first place.
You're not the first and you won't be the last

Well done D&D. Step 1 (ringing the court) is done, step 2(going to court) is easier. I've just gone through it this morning and I have to say it was fine. I was there just over an hour, saw the clerk to go through the forms, saw the judge then had a brief chat with the OR to go over any pressing issues and clarify details. It was fine. Managed to crack a smile with the both the clerk and OR who were very pleasant and really put me at ease. Honestly, if I can go through it anyone can. I was shaking and chain smoking until I got into the building and even found it hard to sign my name because I was shaking so much but it was painless and 'pleasant'. It is the fear of the unknown.0

Beth just wanted to say thanks for your reasons guide. :A
It helped me enormously last week when we were filling our forms in, I ended up with quite a long explanation but felt better that I had put down as much info as I could remember. Your guide was invaluable, thanks again.
