Loan for someone with poor credit

Hi All,

I'm looking to take out an unsecured loan or other finance - between £5k - £9k.

The problem I've got is that I have poor credit. I have two settled credit cards that are listed as fully satisfied, but via a partial payment.

I also have other credit cards that are showing heavily in arrears and maybe one default. These are in dispute with the cc co's, but nevertheless are showing as such on credit reports.

For those of you with a strong urge to flame and ask what the hell I'm doing looking for credit in these circumstances, I ask you to resist. I have good reasons for this and the repayments will be made.

So, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

MS D

Until you can resolve the disputes, I think it is highly unlikely that anyone would lend you that amount.

You have clearly shown that you haven't kept up payments in the past and for that reason I don't think any lender will touch you.

Smile :), it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

I agree I'm afraid, I can't see much chance of anyone giving you a loan. Incidentally, be weary of brokers asking for an upfront fee to access a guaranteed loan.

As the others have said - you have previously not paid back credit cards and loans so why would anyone want to lend to you now?

You say you that the repayments will be made - well perhaps if you had paid the others you would now be able to get credit.

Well thanks for the replies and you are entitled to your opinion. Despite asking otherwise I should have known that a certain kind of response was inevitable. I was looking for help not judgement.

Mod's be so kind as to close this thread, I'll seek help elsewhere.

You asked for our opinions which we gave. Just because it wasn't what you wanted to hear does not mean we are in the wrong. We have not 'flamed' you just pointed out your are an exceedingly high risk to any lender and as such you are unlikely to get a loan.

    Simples!

I doubt you will receive any different elsewhere, the advice you have been given is true and fair, just because you do not like it is no reason to flounce off in a huff.

Having a quick peek at some of the OPs other posts, it appears these "disputes" are unenforceabilty claims.
I can see why anybody would be very nervous about lending this person any more money.
