I have wondered if someone is in debt from loans and credit cards but then passes away and never got all that insurance repayments cover....who pays the money?

a dead persons debts are settled by the executor from the person estate.
if there is no estate then the debt die
if any debt are joint the the other person is responsible for settling the debts0
