I'm equally  - is this because light is supposed to help? DH has had light treatment at the hospital, but they're quite cagey about what sort of light it is they use, and check him over carefully to make sure he's not burning at all, so I'm a bit surprised if there's a home version.

However, try the National Eczema Society.

Keep in mind If we start offering medical advice the thread will get closed.

I guess the OP is asking about a UV light suitable for Phototherapy. I would think consulting a dermatologist would be the best way to find one.
  • I agree to go see a dermatologist re: the lamp.

However, for my eczema I use Lush Dream Cream (they also do Dreamwash shower smoothie, Fresh Farmacy face wash and Vanishing Cream moisturiser), Palmers' Cocoa Butter Formula and Boots Skin Therapy Emollient Cream (basically own brand E45), depending on how flush I feel.

Dermatologist use PUVA which is UVA treatment AFTER being soaked in a bath of Psoralens. UVA lamps on their own will only have very limited effect if any

Im on a PUVA again at the moment for eczema and im given tablets so my skin will react to the light i would save your money plus a lamp is more is likely to do more harm then good long term, ask you GP to see the dermo
