I think that once your creditors are contacted by your OR they will close your accounts pretty sharpish!!!
You need to open a basic bank account with either Barclays or Co-Op now because nobody else will touch you!!;)0 -
I hope you don't have any money in them because they are no longer your accounts and you should not be using them.

only a few pounds.....
seems odd i can still access them all?
not that i'm using them but considering they say they freeze
them the same day.0 -
It does take the OR time to let creditors know. Some banks - Halifax in particular - check the insolvency site daily so they can close down their customers' accounts.

I think a lot of other banks are now keeping BR accounts open but it seems hit and miss. I still have an Abbey account but waited until I was discharged before I started using it again.

If that account doesn't have any credit facilities you could double check with the OR that he doesn't have any interest in the account and you would be free to keep using it providing the bank doesn't want to close it down. What bank is it?my bank accounts are still assessable after 1 week?
i guess my creditors still dont know?

Bear in mind as well the OR has up to 8wks to inform all creditors......IF you keep accessing the account & have not cleared it 1st with the OR the banks could get a little shirty. We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Does logging on to internet banking to check count as access? There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0
