I've tried all sorts of school shoes and even the more expensive of the cheaper range don't last. Once they scuff, the top layer peels off and looks rubbish. I took the plunge last year and bought some Clarks shoes (in the sale though) and they lasted the whole school year. At £26/pair full price they are def worth it.0

Try Deichmann, not sure if they are in your area but I bought school shoes recently and they are much nicer and still leather. I used to buy nothing but Clarks in their factory outlet shop. (Kids back at school in Scotland).0

Many thanks for the replys . Clarkes are doing 20% off plus free delivery online so will probably head this route .

Marks & Spencer are doing good quality school shoes for £9 or £10 along with black & white plymsoles, gym kit etc... just blew £100 there at the weekend

Hi, I have just spent days trailing around looking for brown school shoes, but no luck. It looks like I'll have to get a tan pair and dye them!! Anyone know of anywhere else I could try, preferably in Belfast/Lisburn0

Sorry I can't help you there Ellie. I was also wondering if anyone knew if the Clarks sale was still on, or anywhere else I could get school shoes at a reasonable price that have a good fitting service? My DS needs to wear his orthotics with his shoes, which means he wears a wide 12 1/2 so having problems, so any help would be appreciated.0

Starnight, what about McKillen's in Ballymena. They do Clarks, but have startrite, Caterpillar, Lelli Kelli, Geox and loads more. I usually go there.0
