I got a new phone DFW/MSE stylee!

So, I need a new phone. My current one is not only about four years aold, and was second hand then, it won;t hold charge for more than 24 hours, and gives me about ten minutes talking time if I actually make a call, which is no use.

I go on Virgin mobile today to get my e-bill, and click on upgrade your phone.

Only to discover they have a new thing where they give you a discount off a new phone dependent on how much you've spent with them over the last 24 months.

And I have £30 to play with.

And they give you £10 airtime if you buy online.

And there's a phone on there which costs £39.99.

So it was FREE!!!! :j

On Saturday, I will receive my NEW, not reconditioned, Motorola V220. In black.

Oh yes. I rock. MSE rocks. They are PAYING ME one shiny penny to get a new phone! :j

Also, today I got £43 from Egg from an insurance claim I made months ago, plus they are giving me a tenner cos I used my card (to buy a travelcard I had to have anyway).

All of which kinda makes up for the fact that last week I spent £30 on a handbag, and yesterday spent a whopping £65 on some lovely tan leather wedges.

Good going.. mine was free on contract but have got a fairly good deal on contract phone anyway (as i phoned up and told them i was going to leave if they didn't give me a better deal - and a new phone lol when my contract was up last month).

£30 a month which gives £180 worth of call/text/MMC allowance (so up to 900 mins but can be mixed between all of the options above), 30 mins a month video calling and unlimited web use.

It means i get a new phone each year, so also get to sell my old phones to make some money back too, plus i would spend more than £30 a month if was only using payg/landline as i phone a lot of mobiles.

It arrived today!! It is lovely! I am so pleased with it.

I got some stuff from Freecycle today so have justified buying a new pair of sandals for the summer at £20 :rolleyes:

BUT I have been offered another month's work at my temp place, and they said I'd probably get June as well, so it's all good! :j

AND I'm off to Dubai for a week at the end of May to visit a mate.
