I have 1 60 pound settled default registered on my file from experian. I am looking to apply for my first mortgage. I am concerned that the score from experian shows very poor, i have a mobile phone contract from t-mobile paid perfect plus 2 settled loans and my natwest account. Who do you think I should apply with ideally i would like to go for abbey do you think i will be turned down due to this small default, how exactly do they credit check you is the score I see from experian that they use
.

Why ideally Abbey? Service levels are appalling at the moment!
Who was the settled default with? It is very small.
If you have a good deposit and the rest of the profile looks ok I am sure it will be ok. Speak to an independent mortgage adviser in your area who can match up your profile with the most suitable lender.I am a Mortgage Adviser
