Hi all, I have been looking for a new challenge for a few months now but nothing applys to me or grabbed me like they have before. So a few days ago I wondered how much I could achive within 100 days. It seems such a short amount of time within the space of a year and its just long enough to achive something worthwhile. So this is where the idea came from one debt vs 100 days.

The principle is everyone can chose one debt that they want to se the back of after 100 days. Or if you are debt free and here offering support why not try and save a certain amount within those 100 days? To pay off this debt/save you can use any legal way possible. Pop over to the up your income board for some tips or give something up out of your usual SOA to make overpayments. The idea is we can use this thread as a support structure and also share tips on how to reduce this specific debt.

The challenge will start Tuesday 1st September 09 and end Wednesday 9th December 09. If you post below your debt amount & name/amount you want to clear (if its a large debt)/amount you want to save I will add you below in this post. Each time you post an update/make a payment I will update the first post with your outsanding amount etc etc.

I hope some of you join in :j

    Ooh what a great idea - will do some sums and come back to you later. It might not be a whole debt as all of is on one CC but I know that I want to be debt free sooner.

  • You genius Pap! :beer::beer:

    I was just thinking that I needed a challenge! Something to focus my debt busting energies on!

    I am doing the 100 challenge in terms of giving up Mags and buying make up and stuff but I would LOVE to get shot of my credit card debt.

    Its around 2500 but is in the process of being switched to 0% so when I have a clear target amount I will be back!

    I think it will roughly be 25 quid a day...................gulp! but I am doing summer school next week, I have saved a fair bit from this month's wages and start back at work normally in two weeks (cries),and if I even got round to ebaying...............

    So I am up for it!

    cheers hon xxxxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Can I join in please? I want to be get our A&L card and the Argos card paid off by then so this will be a good motivator for me, details are in my sig

    Just pick the smallest? or the one with the highest interest?

    or just pick an amount to pay off and share it between all your debts?

    Littleangel, Buffy beat me to it, the idea is its a small kick start. it doesnt have to be a huge debt you could chosse to save £100 so £1 a day to pay off any debt in December. Its just a little challenge to keep a small number of people going. Many people on here thrive on a challenge and a huge number have become debt free by just completing many challenges. Its amazing what a group of people getting behind you do :j

    Sounds like the ideal replacement to the Olympic challenge PAP, it's been a while :)

    I've started my own this weekend actually so will run mine until 30th November but right along with you, if that's okay?
