Liz Earle's skincare

Cleanse & Polish is great, though I think it's as much about the process (cream cleanser/hot cloth) as the formulation of the product, if you see what I mean.
helping_hubby - about the moisturiser. I have nightmare combination skin which varies from very dry to very oily and I have been having a major acne breakout for the last 3 months (I'm currently on medication for it). I am currently using Skin Repair Light and although it is probably the best moisturiser I have tried for my skin, it still isn't quite right - I find it doesn't sink in properly and if I'm warm from the shower I sweat it straight off again. I mentioned this to a friend, a fellow Liz Earle fan who has similar skin issues to mine, and she said that when she went for a facial at the London shop (yes, she's loaded - LOL) she was advised to try the Superskin moisturiser, dabbed on in tiny quantities. (Well, you'd have to use tiny quantities at that price :rolleyes:) Anyway, I think there might be something in that advice! Her skin is looking fabulous at the moment. I had a sample size pot of Superskin in a pack from QVC a few months back and I used it a few times at night - I think it might be worth my while buying it again, I've just got to get over the mental aversion to spending £30 on a moisturiser :eek:
(I tried a cheap Avon one that Suki recommended, and though I found it a lovely texture - sort of a cross between Skin Repair and Superskin! - unfortunately it irritated my skin and I had to return it
)
I treated myself to the two new foot products last month - though I haven't got round to using them yet, they have the most delicious peppermint smell.
I also suffer with acne (have done for 15 years
) I was on antibiotics for 3 years which cleared my skin up perfectly, but now I have to come off them. Been using Zineryt for 8 months, but don't think it's working that well. Now I'm trying Benzoyl peroxide and keeping up the regime with Liz Earles Cleanse and Polish. I usually use Clinique dramatically different moisturiser, but mainly because I'm too scared to try anything else.
By using Benzoyl Peroxide my skin should dry up quite badly, so need some good moisturiser to compensate. My clinique one is running out, so nows a good time to try something new. I've ordered the £6 trial of skin repair light to try - although this is probably wrong if my skin is going to dry out! Oh well, I'll go by trial and error I think.0 -
OK I'm confused now - just been and bought MC, and the subscription offer says £19.99 for 12 issues, and the Liz Earle goodies are limited to the first 500 respondents. Am I missing something?minerva_windsong wrote: »Marie Claire magazine's current subscription offer is 6 issues for £6 and free Liz Earle skincare (Cleanse & Polish, toner and moisturiser), if you feel like trying it - I believe it's about £30 to buy the skincare on its own so it's worth a go.

Do a search on here. I saw a post that said they'd run out of the Marie Claire gift and weren't offering any alternatives.
ETA here it is http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1897949&highlight=marieI was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

Yes, it says on the Marie Claire website that they've run out, too.

Sorry, I didn't realise they'd run out. I did get a leaflet in my copy that had the 6 issues for £6 deal and the Liz Earle offer on the same page though, which is odd. But I suppose it's kind of irrelevant now, apologies for duff info.

I love Liz earle too!
I think you will find it amazing on your skin, in fairness I use a lot of different beauty products though Liz earle is one I always go back to, you can feel your skin repsond to it instantly. Try looking at QVC as they have some good packages and some good starter kits if you are unsure xLoves Vegas shopping and beauty products!0 -
I too love Liz Earle! I've used it for quite a few years now. I love the cleanse and polish, my son & daughter also use it so I always look out for the TSV on QVC as they have some really good offers on there. All the products are great and smell gorgeous!!0
